Role: Business Development Director

Salary: £40-55k Base; Commission; Share Option Scheme

Connected Health are looking to recruit a transformational Business Development Director to work with one off the most dynamic Executive Teams and Boards in Northern Ireland. Working as part of the Senior Management Team you will lead the growth and development of ConnectedTec, the technology and innovation development arm of Connected Health. This will involve leading the development and commercialisation of both in house products and services as well as incorporating existing innovative solutions into the wider Homecare business across the UK and Ireland. Connected Health are focused on the transformation of Homecare providing clients with an integrated service which is of the highest quality and utilises technology in a way which adds value, increases efficiency and ensures that older people, vulnerable adults and complex care recipients are at the centre of everything we do.


The role will involve responsibility for the following:

  • Managing multiple projects from development to full commercialisation
  • Identifying and exploiting new market segments and channel partners
  • Building and maintaining client relationships including direct selling, up selling and cross selling
  • Growing and managing a team across a rapid growth trajectory
  • Full P & L responsibility for ConnectedTec with a focus on growth and sales
  • Identifying and developing additional products and services that add to the bottom line and meet the growth brief

The following skills/experience and attitude are required:

  • A proven track record in bringing innovative products and services to market
  • A proven track record in delivering consistent sales growth
  • An ability to understand the impact of innovation and technology within health and social care
  • Experience of C-Suite engagement and working within a dynamic Senior Executive Team
  • Experience of building and managing a small team incorporating appropriate performance management approaches and techniques
  • Superb levels of energy, enthusiasm and passion for the sector


  • A background in technology sales/services within the broad health and social care sector
  • Experience of building an outbound/inbound sales team within a Shared Services type environment or similar
  • Quantifiable experience of developing marketing approaches which impact on bottom line sales within this sector
